BIO
I’m a full time photographer, originally from Yorkshire but now based in the South West with my wife and 3 children.
Always keen for an adventure, I joined the Royal Air Force in 2001 and graduated from the Defence School of Photography the following year. I’ve taken pictures all over the world with images published both nationally and internationally. More recently I has run 2 successful photographic departments.
ARTISTS STATEMENT
My practice is rooted in close observation and an attentiveness to unscripted moments of everyday life. Working within a documentary framework, I photograph urban spaces and landscapes as they exist, without direction or intervention.
Living and working in South West, my work is shaped by the rhythms of domestic life and the surrounding environment. I’m interested in how memory, place, and everyday experience intersect, and how photography can hold these elements in a way that feels both intimate and open-ended. Through a restrained visual approach, I aim to create photographs that are contemplative, honest, and quietly resonant.
